CESC Limited announced that the Maharashtra Electricity Regulatory Commission (MERC) has approved the Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) between The Tata Power Company Limited and Dhariwal Infrastructure Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of CESC.

• The agreement is for the procurement of 75MW firm power.
• The power will be sourced from a STU connected coal plant at Chandrapur, Maharashtra.
• The procurement is on a medium-term basis through a competitive bidding process.
• The time period for the execution of the contract is from 1st May 2025 to 30th April 2027.
