JK Lakshmi Cement Limited (JKLC) announced its financial results for the first quarter of Financial Year 2026 (Apr-June 2025):

• Net Profit jumped 169% year-on-year to ₹151.67 Crores.
• Sales Volume reached 33.26 Lac Tonnes, up from 30.24 Lac Tonnes in Apr-June 2024.
• Net Sales stood at ₹1740.93 Crores, compared to ₹1563.88 Crores in the previous year's corresponding quarter.

Key developments and announcements:

• The company's Composite Scheme of Arrangement, which includes the amalgamation of Udaipur Cement Works Ltd (UCWL), Hansdeep Industries & Trading Company Ltd (HITCL), and Hidrive Developers and Industries Ltd (HDIL) into JKLC, became effective on 31 July 2025, following approval by the National Company Law Tribunal, Jaipur on 12 June 2025. The appointed date for the scheme is 1 April 2024, leading to restated financial statements. The company will issue 4 Equity Shares of ₹5 each for every 100 Equity Shares of ₹4 each held in UCWL to eligible shareholders, with 25 August 2025 as the Record Date.

• Capex Plans:
  • Expansion of Surat Grinding Unit capacity from 1.35 Million Tonnes to 2.7 Million Tonnes at a cost of ₹225 Crores (₹150 Crores from term loans, balance from internal accruals), expected to be commissioned in the current quarter.
  • Construction of a Railway Siding at its Dug Cement Plant for ₹325 Crores (₹225 Crores from debt, balance from internal accruals), with the first phase already completed.
  • Major expansion at Dug integrated Cement Plant in Chhattisgarh, adding an Additional Clinker Line of 2.3 Million Tonnes Per Annum and Four Cement Grinding Units totaling 4.6 Million Tonnes Per Annum. Also, three Split Location Cement Grinding Units with aggregate 3.4 Million Tonnes Per Annum will be set up in Prayagraj (Uttar Pradesh), Madhubani (Bihar), and Patratu (Jharkhand). This project is estimated to cost ₹3000 Crores (₹2100 Crores from term loans, balance from internal accruals). Commissioning is planned in phases, with the first phase (Clinkerization & Grinding Unit) by March 2027 and the remaining 2.2 Million Tonnes Cement Capacity by March 2028.
