Sat Industries Limited has announced amendments to the Main Object Clause of its Memorandum of Association (MOA).
- The changes were approved by shareholders via a special resolution at the Extra-Ordinary General Meeting held on April 21, 2025.
- The Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) approved the alteration on May 14, 2025.
- Key amendments include the insertion of new clauses to carry on the business of:
- Incubating, developing, providing, and launching innovative artificial intelligence products, information technology products, related services, and software designing, development, customization, implementation, maintenance, testing, and benchmarking.
- Buying, selling, trading, exporting, importing, developing, inventing, acquiring, or taking on installment/hire purchase/lease basis, computer hardware, software, accessories, packages, intellectual property, and related or ancillary goods or services.
- Purchasing, acquiring, leasing, licensing, renting, hiring, managing, and exploiting all kinds of intellectual property rights.
- An existing clause related to purchasing and letting on lease or hire various assets like machinery, vehicles, computers, and office equipment has been substituted.
- The existing MOA has been substituted and replaced with a new MOA to align with the format prescribed under the Companies Act, 2013.
