Sundaram Clayton Limited announced that its Board of Directors, in a meeting held on 6 May 2025, approved the proposal to relocate all machining activities from its Mahindra World City (MWC) Plant in Chengalpattu to the company's other plants located in Thervoy Kandigai and Oragadam.

• This move is part of the company's ongoing consolidation strategy aimed at optimizing production flow, incorporating cutting-edge technology, streamlining operations, reducing operational costs, and enhancing production efficiency.
• The MWC Plant contributed ₹261.63 crore to the company's turnover (12.32% of total turnover) and 7.23% to its net worth during the last financial year.
• The company expects no impact on overall revenue as the operations are being relocated.
• The relocation is expected to be completed on or before 30 September 2025.
