Suzlon Energy has secured a new order for a 100.8 MW EPC wind power project from Sunsure Energy.
This order marks Sunsure Energy's entry into the wind energy sector. The project will be located in the Jath region of Maharashtra.
Suzlon will supply 48 units of S120 wind turbine generators (WTGs) with Hybrid Lattice Towers, each having a capacity of 2.1 MW.
The scope of the order includes supply of wind turbines, equipment installation, project execution including erection and commissioning, and comprehensive operations and maintenance services after commissioning.
Mr. JP Chalasani, CEO, Suzlon Group, stated that corporate adoption of wind energy is crucial for India's 500 GW non-fossil fuel target, with Independent Power Producers (IPPs) increasingly recognizing wind's potential.
Mr. Vivek Srivastava, CEO, India Business, Suzlon Group, expressed excitement about partnering with Sunsure Energy for their first wind project, aiming to boost India's renewable energy transition and collaborate with more IPPs.
Mr. Manish Mehta, CCO, Sunsure Energy, mentioned that adding wind energy enhances their Round-The-Clock (RTC) renewable energy capabilities and supports their goal to reach 10 GW capacity by 2030.
