UNO Minda Limited has disclosed that it has received revised orders from the Department of Commercial Taxes, Office of the Joint Commissioner of Commercial Taxes (Enforcement)-1, Mysuru, Karnataka, following a writ petition filed by the company before the Hon’ble High Court of Karnataka.
- The company had challenged an earlier adjudication order dated January 08, 2025.
- The Hon’ble High Court directed the GST Department to issue a fresh order under Section 73 of the CGST Act within one week from May 05, 2025.
- In compliance, the company submitted a letter on May 06, 2025, requesting the revocation of the previous order and the issuance of a new one.
- The GST Department issued fresh orders, which the company received on May 26, 2025, demanding the following amounts:
- For FY 2017-18:
- Interest: ₹1,81,88,402
- Penalty: ₹17,49,062
- For FY 2018-19:
- Interest: ₹6,05,11,651
- Penalty: ₹65,55,954
- UNO Minda Limited intends to seek the benefit under the Amnesty Scheme as contemplated under Section 128(A) of the CGST Act, 2017.
- The company does not foresee any material impact on its financial, operational, or other activities.
