Kothari Sugars wins APTEL appeal against TANGEDCO's parallel operation charges

Kothari Sugars and Chemicals Limited announced that the Appellate Tribunal for Electricity (APTEL) has passed an Order in favor of the Company regarding the levy of Parallel Operation Charges for co-generation plants by TANGEDCO.
This intimation refers to a previously disclosed litigation under Item No.3 (Challenged the parallel operation charges levied).
The quantum of claims and expected financial implication stood at ₹12.90 crore as on 31st March 2025.
The Company had already made the necessary provisions in its books of accounts to cover this liability.
Due to the favorable outcome of the appeal, there will be no adverse impact on the financial, operations, or other activities of the Company in this regard.
However, TANGEDCO may choose to file an appeal, and any further developments will be intimated.

Kothari Sugars And Chemicals Limited announced that its Board of Directors, at a meeting held on May 29, 2025, considered and recommended the re-appointment of M/s. Alagar & Associates, a Peer Reviewed Practicing Company Secretaries Firm based in Chennai, as the Secretarial Auditors of the company.

The appointment is for the first term of five consecutive years.
The term will commence from Financial Year 2025-2026 and extend till Financial Year 2029-2030.
This re-appointment is subject to the approval of the shareholders at the ensuing 64th Annual General Meeting.
