TRANSWORLD SHIPPING LINES LIMITED (formerly Shreyas Shipping & Logistics Ltd) announced that the Hon’ble High Court of Judicature of Tamil Nadu at Chennai (Madras) issued a warrant of release in admiralty in rem on 02nd May 2025. This order vacated the plea for arrest against the company's vessel SSL Sabarimalai and permitted it to sail immediately.
The plea for arrest was filed by M/s. Torque Technics in R/Admiralty Suit No. 2312 of 2025.
The reason for the plea was an unpaid invoice of ₹15,79,426 for ship repair services provided by the Plaintiff for the vessel SSL Sabarimalai. The company stated the invoice remained unpaid because it was sent to a dormant e-mail address of company officials.
M/s. Torque Technics has since withdrawn the plea for arrest.
