This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you visit our website bullu.in and use our services (collectively, the "Service"). a. Personal Data:

  • Account Information: When you register for an account, we collect your name, email address, and password. If you sign up using Google Sign-In, we may collect your name and email address as provided by Google.
  • Contact Information: If you contact us directly, we may receive additional information about you such as your name, email address, and the contents of the message and/or attachments you may send us.

b. Usage Data:

  • Activity Information: We collect information about your interactions with the Service, such as the news articles you view, stock symbols you subscribe to, research you conduct, events you track, and your interactions with our AI Helper (including chat messages and context provided).
  • Interaction Data: We record when you use certain features, such as sharing an article.
  • Device and Connection Information: We automatically collect information about the device and browser you use, your IP address, operating system, and general location information derived from your IP address.
  • Cookies and Similar Technologies: We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to track activity on our Service and hold certain information. Cookies are files with a small amount of data which may include an anonymous unique identifier. You can instruct your browser to refuse all cookies or to indicate when a cookie is being sent. However, if you do not accept cookies, you may not be able to use some portions of our Service. Supabase, our backend provider, uses cookies for session management.
  • Analytics Data: We use Google Analytics to collect information about your use of the Service, such as pages visited, time spent on pages, and links clicked. This helps us understand user behavior and improve our Service.

c. User Preferences:

  • Subscription Preferences: We store the stock symbols you subscribe to.
  • Notification Preferences: We store your preferences for receiving notifications.

d. AI Helper Data:

When you use our AI Helper feature, the messages you send, any article context you provide, and the chat symbol context are processed to generate responses. This data is sent to Google's Generative AI (Gemini) services for processing.

e. Feedback Data:

If you choose to provide feedback through our Google Form, the information you submit will be collected and processed by Google on our behalf.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect in the following ways:

  • To provide, operate, and maintain our Service.
  • To improve, personalize, and expand our Service.
  • To understand and analyze how you use our Service.
  • To develop new products, services, features, and functionality.
  • To communicate with you, either directly or through one of our partners, including for customer service, to provide you with updates and other information relating to the Service, and for marketing and promotional purposes (if you opt-in).

  • To facilitate account creation and logon process (e.g., Google Sign-In).

3. How We Share Your Information

a. With Service Providers:

  • Supabase: We use Supabase for backend services, including authentication, database storage (user accounts, chat history, subscriptions, preferences). Supabase's handling of your data is governed by their privacy policy.
  • Google:
    • Google Analytics: To analyze website traffic and user behavior. Google's privacy policy applies.
    • Google Generative AI (Gemini): When you use our AI Helper, your chat messages and relevant context are sent to Google's AI services to generate responses. Google's privacy policy applies to this data.
    • Google Sign-In: If you use Google to sign in, information is exchanged with Google as per their terms and privacy policy.
    • Google Forms: If you submit feedback via our Google Form.

b. For Advertising:

  • We use Google AdSense (or a similar Google advertising service) to display advertisements on bullu.in. Google and its partners use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to our website or other websites.
  • Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to our sites and/or other sites on the Internet.
  • You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google's Ads Settings (https://www.google.com/settings/ads). You can also opt out of some third-party vendors’ uses of cookies for personalized advertising by visiting www.aboutads.info.

c. By Law or to Protect Rights:

If we believe the release of information about you is necessary to respond to legal process, to investigate or remedy potential violations of our policies, or to protect the rights, property, and safety of others, we may share your information as permitted or required by any applicable law, rule, or regulation.

d. Business Transfers:

Our Service may contain links to third-party websites and services (e.g., NSE/BSE links, Google Search results from research) that are not operated by us. If you click on a third-party link, you will be directed to that third party's site. We strongly advise you to review the Privacy Policy of every site you visit. We have no control over and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party sites or services.

User account information is retained as long as the account is active. Chat histories and other usage data are retained to provide and improve the Service.

8. Children's Privacy

Our Service is not intended for use by children under the age of 13 (or the relevant age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. If you become aware that a child has provided us with Personal Data, please contact us. If we become aware that we have collected Personal Data from children without verification of parental consent, we take steps to remove that information from our servers.

9. International Data Transfers

Your information, including Personal Data, may be transferred to — and maintained on — computers located outside of your state, province, country, or other governmental jurisdiction where the data protection laws may differ from those of your jurisdiction. Our service providers (Supabase, Google) operate globally. Your consent to this Privacy Policy followed by your submission of such information represents your agreement to that transfer.

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Effective Date" at the top. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes. Changes to this Privacy Policy are effective when they are posted on this page.
